On Saturday, August 7, 2021, Joyce Young – a loving wife, mother and friend – passed away at the age of 66.Joyce Ann Young was born on April 28, 1955, to Harold and Ilene Hendrix in St. Joseph, MO. She married the love of her life and best friend, Randy, on October 6, 2001 in Lubbock, TX.Joyce was a dedicated office manager and bookkeeper who enjoyed working for Westar Commercial Realty. In her off time, she loved caring for animals of all kinds and spending time outdoors. Joyce had a charitable heart and was a faithful prayer warrior, who was the first to lend a helping hand and offer her love and support to people and animals alike in need.She will be dearly missed by her husband, Randy; son Clayton (Mel) Young; siblings, Larry (Denise) Hendrix, Richard (Betty) Hendrix, Helen Runnells, Sandy Cochran, Karen Sipes, and many other dear friends.Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Harold Hendrix; mother, Ilene Hendrix; sister, Carol Bruntmeyer; brother, James Hendrix; sister, Bonnie Crum.The family of Joyce will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
