Obituary

Jordan Alicia Smith passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 26 years on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 4 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. A tribute of Jordan’s life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family. 

Jordan was born on January 30, 1992 in Abilene. She graduated from Monterey High School and recently received her Bachelor of Arts Psychology Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University. Jordan loved being with her family and friends and enjoyed all types of music and art. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, and maternal grandparents.

Jordan is survived by her parents, Ron and Alice (Riggs) Smith; also by Shani Carter and Ian and Peyton Hart; her paternal grandfather, Billie S. Smith; along with six aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins; Aaron Akins, and many friends.

  1. Dearest Ron and Alice, I am so very sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart for you both. Dennis and I will do anything for you that you might need. Just call or text.     My sweet cousin Alice, her wonder husband Ron and family. The loss of a child and sister is something I have not experienced. Just know I am here for you day or night. One day you all will wake up and find the peace God has given you. At the same time he will fill your heart with so many priceless memories as the tear flood your face with happy tears and smiles.   5. I think of jordan and her smile and sweet spirit is the first thing that comes to me. She was a bright light to all who encountered her. She was supportive and so kind when I lost my daughter who she knew . I can imagine how you are feeling and I wish I could take your pain. Jordan will shine on and forever be a part of all of us.
