Johnnie Myrtle was born on December 24, 1924, to John and Myrtle Adkins in Clairemont, TX. On October 10, 1942, Johnnie married the love of her life, George Monroe Devitt in Brownfield, Texas. She owned and operated Devitt’s Drive-In, for 20 years in Wolfforth, Texas.Survivors include her children, Georgia Farmer, Johnny Devitt and wife, Gail, Linda Hyde Kenneth, Mary Jenkins and husband, Fred Jenkins; grandchildren, Lisa Phillips and husband, Lance, Stephanie Constant, Matt Duncan and wife, Shellie, Jason Duncan, Chad Hyde and wife, Keely, Cord Duncan, Lance Hyde and wife, Shanna; great-granddaughters, Lexi Halimeh and husband, Nidal, London Phillips, Amy Reamy and husband, Justin, Briana Howell, Kinsey, Landon, Layni, and Aleeah Hyde; great-grandsons, Colton Duncan, Brandon Howell, Kaden Hyde, Logan Duncan, Peyton Duncan; three great-great grandsons, Hayden Kykta, Jay Shingles, Nolan Reamy; two great-great granddaughters, Bella Colen, Skyla Monforte; Sister, Shirley Thorne.She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Myrtle Mae Adkins, husband, George Monroe Devitt, grandson, Jeffrey Farmer, and great-granddaughter, Brittany Howell.
