Lt. Aaron Sims left a message on April 3, 2025:
Mr. Dea was always willing to help anyone in need, anyway that he could. The Texas Parks and Wildlife office on Landmark Lane was a well-known place to Mr. Dea, and staff also knew him well. As the years transitioned into “retired” hunter education instructor, Mr. Dea would often stop by, just to say “hello” and asked if we needed anything or if he could assist in hunter education classes or programs that we had coming up. We will miss his soft spoken but strong voice, his words of encouragement to office staff, and his quiet smile before he left for the day. On behalf of the Lubbock regional office staff, our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this most difficult time.
