The family of Joe Dominguez Lopez, Jr. will celebrate his life of 91 years at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. His family will be hosting a rosary at 7:00 pm, on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. The graveside Mass will be Saturday, January 9, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Resthaven. He passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. The service will be live-streamed on this page where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.On May 21, 1929, Joe was born to Jose and Loreto Lopez in Saginaw, MI. He met the love of his life the most beautiful woman he had ever seen Noemi Velasco Lopez. They married on December 30, 1957, in Lubbock and he spent the rest of his life loving her. He established his own construction company working each day to give his family a better life and endless opportunities. He was a hard worker but stressed the value of education to his children expecting better for each of them. Joe also understood that giving back and helping others were the most important things he could do with his life. He instilled the importance of hard work, family, and love of God to all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Noemi Lopez; their children, Ruth Lucero (George) Loretta Chavez (Sam), Yolanda Lopez, Frederick Lopez (Aimee), and Deborah Bowman (William); stepchildren, Lisa Ramos (Ralph), Paul Ramon (Kay), Tony Arrendondo (Bridgett); and 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, out of 11 siblings only surviving brother, Ernesto Lopez from Mexico City.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jose Louis Lopez.
