Joeann...first born cousin of our huge family of cousins...our #1! The title of being #1 wasn't something cuz volunteered for...she was just born into it. That being the case, Joeann was given the job of "watching the younger ones" from causing harm to ourselves! When we were within sight, there was no playing with matches...slugging little sisters...pulling hair and most definitely...no cussing! Joeann knew what was good in loving us cousins and from her examples, we learned to love each other as she has with us! #1's courage and strength to persevere through hard times and family losses are powerful traits that are passed down to her own family. As her cousin, our hearts ache over her passing...yet each of us are confident the goodness she has taught her children, her being will carry on now and into future family members to share. Thank you #1 cuz, you've done what you were taught, now it's time to rest. We will share the memories...and when our time comes...please put a good word in for us... as some of the "others" will surely need it! Peace in heart to all our cousins.
