A lifelong resident of Lubbock, Jody was born on March 18, 1974, to Joe and Denise (Manis) Amburn. She graduated from Coronado High School and attended South Plains College. On February 5, 1999, Jody married the love of her life, Scott Camp. She worked as a realtor early in her career before becoming a homemaker. Jody’s loving and encouraging spirit will be missed by her family and friends. Her positive attitude was infectious and she always had a smile to share. She loved animals, especially all her “fur babies” being outdoors in the sunshine, and swimming.She was preceded in death by her mother, Denise Amburn and her grandparents.Jody is survived by her husband, Scott Wayne Camp of Lubbock, father, Joe Ray Amburn of Lubbock, a sister, Mandi Amburn of Dallas, her father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Linda Camp of Lubbock, and sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and John Wall of Lubbock; many aunts and uncles, cousins and beloved nephews and nieces, Ben Wall, Nate Wall, Avery Gallemore, Emily Speck, and Christian Speck that she adored and enjoyed spending time with.Because of Jody’s love for animals, memorials are suggested to the The Haven Animal Care Shelter, 4501 N FM 1729-NCR 3000, Lubbock, Texas 79403.
