Joaquin P. Perez

Joaquin P. Perez was born on August 16, 1934, to Doroteo and San Juana (Palacios) Perez in Franklin, TX. On April 11, 1951, he married the love of his life, Maria Garza in San Antonio, Texas. Joaquin worked hard his entire life to take care of his family. He farmed all over the United States and after his retirement from farming, he worked for Plains Co-Op for many years. When he was not working he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching wrestling. He loved to laugh, making others laugh and was a big jokester. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Polly Perez; three sisters; and four brothers.

Joaquin is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Maria G. Perez; eight children, Diamantina Martinez, Mary Jane Hernandez, Joaquin Perez, Jr., Diana Rodriguez, Flora Reyes, Doroteo Perez, Richard Perez, and Molly Melendez; thirty grandchildren; sixty-five great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, and a brother.
