The family of Joann “Tute” Wilson Gonzales will gather to recite the Holy Rosary at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Mass will be celebrated in honor of Joann’s life of 81 years at 2 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church followed by her burial rites at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas. On March 30, 1941, Joann Adriana was born to John and Margaret Wilson in Lubbock, Texas. Joann passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, with her family by her side. Joann was a catholic and she loved her faith. She raised 5 kids as a single mother and made sure her children had everything they needed. She retired as a home health provider. Her passion was decorating her home and others that asked to help her decorate. She lived in San Diego, California for 15 years before returning home to Lubbock, TX. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed with her beautiful green eyes and her red lipstick and all her bling bling. Survivors include her children, Robert Lee (Petra) Gonzales, Deborah Gonzales, Donna Gonzales, Annette Flores, and Dickey Ruiz; fifteen grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jasper (Josie) Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Torres Wilson; spouse, Roberto Gonzales; son, Jimmy Don Wilson; granddaughter, Jasmine Ruiz; siblings, Willie Wilson; Raul Wilson, Sr., Joe Bob Wilson; Mary Rios; Josie Wilson, and Gladys Wilson, Pauline Lovato; son-in-law, Ezequiel Flores.
