Michael Craft left a message on August 2, 2022:
In 1965, Jim Howse, one of my instructors in the Art Department at Tech, mentioned there was an opening for a student assistant in the office of Information Services. That's how I met Jerry Kelly. Jerry was kind enough to direct me to put together a portfolio and come back for an interview. He hired me, and thus began my lifelong love of graphic design. Jerry's mentoring and willingness to let one bite off as much as one could chew permitted me to eventually become an art director in San Francisco. I've often thought of him and all the fun we had, designing for the various departments at Texas Tech. I will miss him but am forever grateful for having known him.

Jerry was like a brother. We've have so many precious memories of all our camping/fishing trips to Colorado and playing bridge every night. There will certainly be another vacant spot in our lives. What two beautiful people. They were such blessings in our lives that will surely be missed. Martha has her fishing buddy back. ❤️
