Obituary

The family of Jeffrey Earl Melton will celebrate his 51 years of life Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Lake Ridge Chapel at 6:00 PM. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Saturday, August 21, 2021. We invite you to view the live-streamed service on this page, sign his virtual guestbook, and download his memorial keepsake folder to your device for printing. We also ask you to consider viewing his Life Tribute, a video of photographs set to his favorite music.

On June 13, 1970, Jeffrey Melton was born to Earl and Charlotte Melton in Lubbock, TX. He married Krystal Haltom on June 20, 2014 at the “The Bay House” in Beach City, Texas.

Jeff grew up living in Lubbock, Texas where he was a member of the 1988 Coronado HS graduating class. He also lived in Meadow, Texas where he was a proud volunteer firefighter. Later, he moved to Lubbock where for the last 15 years he has been a devoted employee with Mueller, Inc. Jeff loved to golf with his boys and best friends as often as he could. Jeff and his wife, Krystal, had a lot of fun teaching their young sons how to follow in their footsteps–literally.

On weekends, Jeff, his family, and friends would spend time at lake Allen Henry on their boat. When not vacationing at the lake, he enjoyed traveling to the beach and seeing family in Central and East Texas.

Jeff was known to give the best bear hugs, always put his family first, loved spending time with his extended family, and was a devoted husband, father, and friend.

Jeff is survived by his father, Earl Melton; wife, Krystal Melton; children, Cayden Melton (girlfriend, Preshleigh Parker), Trenton Haltom, and Cole Haltom (soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Madalynn Keen).

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Melton Taylor.
