A lifelong resident of Lubbock, Jared was born June 1, 1995 to Steve and Melissa (Hale) Trengove. Jared loved sports, and grew up playing Little League baseball and Upward basketball, as well as football. At Evans Junior High, Jared and his team were city champs in football, and took second place in basketball. Jared was also a standout baseball pitcher, a position he played from his freshman to junior years at Monterey High School. His nickname, “15”, came from pitching a no-hitter shutout with 15 strikeouts. He pitched for Lubbock Cooper High School his senior year, helping take the team to the 2012-2013 state playoffs. Jared also loved Kart racing, and was a member of the Southwest Road Racing Association and West Texas Karting Association. His family often traveled with him and enjoyed being a part of his “racing team.” He was the 2009 Grand National Champion of the Grand National Race at Eagle’s Canyon Racetrack in Dallas, TX. Jared enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Papa. Jared participated annually in the Father & Son golf tournament with his father and grandfather in Prescott, Arizona. Jared loved his family, and was very excited about becoming an uncle this November.
Those left to cherish Jared’s memories are his parents Steve and Melissa; two sisters; Jennifer Trengove of Lubbock and Jacqueline Whisner, and husband John, of San Antonio; maternal grandparents, Richard and Teresa Hale of Borger; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Marjorie Trengove of Prescott, Arizona; his girlfriend, Kathryn Bragg, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
