Obituary

Janie Jaime passed away Friday, November 30, 2018. We will gather for a Vigil, where friends and family will recite the Rosary Monday, December 3, 2018, at 7 p.m. followed by a reception from 7:45 to 9 p.m at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 72 years at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Lake Ridge Chapel. 

Janie Jaime was born on December 22, 1945, to Rejino and Ausencia Diaz Castro in Abilene, TX. Janie married Lorenzo Jaime on March 13, 1970, in Abilene, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved nature and the outdoors and was an avid reader and gardener. Janie was a great cook and an even better mother. She was faithful in her spiritual beliefs, very proud of her children, and simple in her ways of life with a very giving personality. Janie loved her Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raiders. She will be loved and missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo Jaime; daughter, Raquel Jaime; son, Steven Jaime and wife, Erika Sullivan Jaime; sisters, Natalia, Marty, Teddi, Rebecca, Mary, Ester, and Barbara; brothers, Ray, John, Ruben, Peter, and Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rejino Castro; and mother, Ausencia Castro; and sister Paulita Castro.

Prayer’s for all of you as you go through this difficult time. Rejoicing knowing she is in God’s hands. May God give you’ll peace and comfort today and in the day’s to come. Remembering my beloved tia Janie, always loving, kind, joyful and fun to be around. Thankful knowing we will see her along with our loved ones that are waiting for us in Heaven. God bless you all. ❤️
