It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jamie Carol Green, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. After a long battle with metastatic breast cancer, Jamie peacefully departed from this world on January 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born on July 2, 1971, in Levelland, Texas, to Jimmy and Luella Douglas. She graduated from Frenship High School in 1989 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Lubbock Christian University.

Jamie worked as a teacher for almost 20 years before she became a successful realtor. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, journaling, reading, and, most of all, spending time with her family (especially her grandkids.)

Jamie’s devotion to her family was unmatched. She was the cherished wife of Tim Green, and the proud mother of Haylee, Rilee, Jake, McKenna, Chase, and Jett. She is also mother-in-law to Justin and Connor. Jamie’s unconditional love and support flowed into the lives of her children. She also loved being “Glammie” to Ryker, Blake, Rory, and Parker.

Jamie’s memory will forever be cherished by her parents, Jimmy and Luella; her brother, Brad and his wife, Mindy; her sister, Lacy and her husband, Kevin; as well as her nieces and nephews, Lillie, Avrie, Cutter, Kase, and Preslee. She leaves behind a lifetime’s worth of lessons, quotes, humor, and memories shared with loved ones and friends.

The world will never be the same without Jamie. She was a truly extraordinary and loving human who possessed the ability to spread joy and positivity to everyone, even in the midst of adversity.

Haylee, Rilee, Jake and Family, I am so saddened to hear about sweet Jamie. She was an absolute joy to work with at Frenship and I have so many wonderful memories of our time together. I will always cherish that time we had together teaching. I admired her for her ability to laugh, be positive, and always looking for a way to make life fun. Jamie is one of my favorite people in the world. Kindness and joy radiated from her. It was like glitter, even after she left it stayed in the room :-) She had one of the best laughs, it was contagious! I am a better person for knowing Jamie and I am so honored that God crossed our paths. My heart is broken for the family. Her family meant the world to her, and everyone knew it. Haylee and Rilee - I want to express my heartfelt condolences to you two and the rest of your family. As your former teacher, I know what sweet, kind hearts you two had, and I am certain it was because you had a loving mother who guided you to be that type of person. There are no words that will ease your pain as you learn a new way of life without your mother, but I know God is close to the broken-hearted, and I sincerely hope He is who you turn to for comfort. So sorry to learn of Jamie’s passing. She was such a quality co-patient friend of mine at Root Causes in San Antonio. I was down there from Fort Worth area at similar times she was there from Lubbock. We were both doing all possible to stay upbeat and continue as Stage 4 survivors and members of each other prayer teams. Sadly, our last texts with each other were in this past November. She was such a wonderful person!

Our hearts are with you during this difficult time.
