“James F. Ruthrauff, recently of Lubbock, and formerly of Parma Heights, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at home in the loving care of his wife.
A private family celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 26, at Lake Ridge Chapel.
James was born on March 6, 1924, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Helen and Ray Ruthrauff. He was a graduate of Kansas State College with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On December 28, 1946, in Oakland, California, he married Erma Perondi, with whom he shared a loving marriage for 69 years.
James worked for Arther G. McKey, and engineering firm, for over 35 years, residing in Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico; McAllen, Texas; Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Parma Heights, Ohio.
James was preceded in death, in 1997, by a son, Bruce Edwin. He is survived by his wife, Erma; daughters Julie and husband Tommy Combs of Lubbock, and Linda and husband Gary Black of Dallas; sons Ronald of Blessing, Texas and Jim O. and wife Holly of South Euclid, Ohio; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all.”
