James Bostick

James Chesley Bostick, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on May 29, 1936, James was the middle son of Chesley and Marie Bostick. He lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to his family and friends.

James graduated from Borger High School in 1954. Shortly after graduation, he served in the U.S. Army, and began his long career at Santa Fe Railroad, where he worked for over 37 years.

James married Carolyn McCreary on June 20, 1959. Their 65-year marriage was a testament to their unwavering devotion to each other. James’ family was his greatest joy, and he was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His wisdom and humor were a guiding light for his family.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his children, Ches Bostick and wife, Autumn, Britt Bostick and wife, Patti, Ron Bostick and wife Lori, and his sister, Francis Morris. James was also blessed with grandchildren: Britany and husband Randy, Malerie and husband Bobby, Bradley and wife Hannah, Matthew and wife Tina, Maegan and husband Collin, Mandi and husband Chase, Dylan and wife Macy, and Marley and husband Beau. He was also blessed with 15 precious great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Chesley and Marie, his brothers Carrol and Richard and daughter Belinda.
