The family of Harold Williams of Lubbock will celebrate his life of 86 years at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Southcrest Baptist Church. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, September 01, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. On December 20, 1935, Harold was born to Sam and Annie Williams in Lubbock County. He graduated from New Deal High School in 1954. He served in the Army as a military policeman in Germany. Upon his return, he married Jo-Ann Ashmore on March 21, 1958, in Petersburg. He then farmed in Lubbock County before starting his career with Southwestern Public Service. He retired from SPS after a 33-year career with them. After retirement, he worked for H & R Block and later as a courier for Lubbock Abstract & Title Company until January 2022. He was an active member of Southcrest Baptist Church and attended the Sonshine Sunday School Class. The things he valued most were faith and family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jo-Ann Williams; their children, Jeff Williams and wife Kim of Schertz, TX, Rhonda Law of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Lisa Davis and husband Eric, Lori Perez and husband Nick, Julie Edison and husband Rick, Jana Acosta; great-grandchildren, Jack Irvin, Ava Acosta, Kaylee Davis, Avery Davis, Emma Davis, Patric Perez, Shane Perez; Baylee Edison; siblings, Sam Williams, Mary Anna Self and husband Ed.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Ricky Law; father, Sam Williams; mother, Annie Williams.
The family of Harold Williams has designated the Southcrest Baptist Church Building Fund for memorial contributions donated in his memory.
