Harold “Mack” Kemp’s life did not end with his passing. Mack passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 31, 1937, in Post, TX, Mack was known for his unwavering dedication to his work and his beloved family.
His journey began after graduating from Post High School, following which he bravely served in the Airforce, stationed in England. Mack was a man of many talents, and he spent countless hours short haul driving in an eighteen-wheeler, honing his skills and expertise. With time and experience, he transitioned into a successful salesman for a trailer company Mack’s work ethic and commitment were truly admirable, evident in his years of service in various industries. In his spare time, Mack found solace and joy in his garage or shop, where he would tirelessly work on cars, showcasing his commitment to his craft and his passion for all things automotive.
In 1989, Mack found his life partner in Zuella, and for 35 years, they shared a deep and abiding love. Mack will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Zuella Kemp; his treasured children, Debra (Al) Mondoux, Mia Dawson, Terri Wheeler, and Richard Rogers; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The memories they shared and the love they held for Mack will forever remain in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his mom; Bill McCurdy and stepdad, Glen Shelton; children, Stuart Kemp, Brooks Wheeler, and, Randy Rogers; and a sibling, Allyn Kemp.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Mack’s life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 10:00 am in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
