Grace V. Flores passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. We will gather for rosary at 7 p.m. followed by fellowship from 8 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 93 years on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Grace was born on March 12, 1925 to Felipe and Josefa (Olivas) Valdez in Carnegie, OK. On April 17, 1944 Grace married Guillermo (Willie) Flores in Lubbock. He died on Dec. 26, 1965. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Grace retired from Bender Terrace Nursing Home where she worked as a Dietary Supervisor. For the past fifteen years she volunteered daily at the Copper Rawlings Community and Senior Center and enjoyed playing dominoes. She was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by six siblings.
Grace is survived by her children, Josie Valdez, Gloria Hernandez and husband, Emilio, Sammy Flores and wife, Anita, Connie Flores and husband, Armando, and Bobby Flores and wife, Rachel, all of Lubbock; twenty grandchildren; seventy great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; sister, Adeliada Guardarama; and brother, Felipe Valdez, Jr.
