Hi, I am Everly Jade Rogers. You might know my parents, Hal and Jenny Rogers of Lubbock, TX. I am having a Celebration for my Life on Friday, January 12th, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Aldsergate Church in Lubbock, TX (under the direction of Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers). I was born just the other day on January 3rd, 2018. I was born a petite little baby weighing 1 lb 4 oz and was 12” long. I might sound tiny, but I had a personality so big you forgot how tiny I appeared. You might think my life was short because it was 6 days long, but that’s a lot for a tiny little baby. I went to sit in the lap of Jesus on January 9, 2018. Mommy and Daddy taught me a lot during my life. They taught how important prayer is and about God’s will. I also learned what a miracle was. They taught me about love, and let me tell you, I am loved!

Here are some of my family, and I got to meet some of them while I was there, my PaPaw (JT Rogers) of Pampa, TX and my Nana (Tambra Rogers) of Pampa, TX; my ByBy (Mark Boardman) of Lamesa, TX; my SiSi and Poppy (Sarah and Phil Covington) of Snyder, TX. You can tell by the silly names they are my grandparents. I’ve got an Uncle Trey and Aunt Gina Rogers from Pampa, TX. My Aunt Michelle and Uncle Rowdy Stilwell live in Midland, TX. My Aunt Amanda and Uncle Michael Allen are in Snyder, TX; and my Aunt Sarah Covington lives in Ft Worth, TX. I even have great grandparents, and here they are, my Granddad (Ferrell Baird) of Pampa, TX; my Paw (Sanford Boardman) of Lamesa, TX; my Papa and Sassy (Willis and Sally Gresham) of Lamesa, TX; my Papa & Nana (Woody and Shirley Covington) of Lubbock, TX. I’ve got lots of cousins too!

Mommy and Daddy told me to look for some of my family that already live in Heaven. They are my great grandparents, PaPaw and Momay (John Tom and Frieda Rogers), Momay (Barbara Baird) and Nonnie (Patsy Boardman). My ByBy told me great Uncle Quinn Boardman would also meet me there. I had lots of people at UMC NICU helping me out, and they were so kind and good to me and loved me too!

Don’t cry for me because I am loved, but please say a prayer for my Mommy and Daddy!

Prayers for the family, and the beautiful babygirl. I did not know the family personally, but I came across an article reading of how selfless one mother was to continue to donate her breast milk. I had my baby at 23 weeks, 1 pound and 1 ounce, named her Ava Leigh.Miss Everly, I bet you are having the time of your life right now watching over your family. I just wanted to tell you that I think your mommy is a hero! Without mommys like her, my baby wouldnt have been here because I was unable to produce milk myself just where you was at too in the nicu. You have a lot of love surrounding you. Not only will your memory live on, but your mommy will always be my hero. She is a life saver, and sounds like an incredible woman! I want to thank your mommy and daddy for all they have done! Miss Everly, you might be tiny, but you've already touched the lives of many! One of God's beautiful angels, God Bless you and your family...

I am not a known friend of the family, I was searching for another friend's obituary but came across this little angel's story. What a beautiful life to celebrate and how fortunate her parents got to meet and hold a REAL ANGEL in their arms! I know the pain is so very unbearable so I will pray for strength for all of her loved ones, especially her Momma and Daddy. God bless you all.
