Evelyn Fay Hall Phillips was born in 1944 in Brownfield, Texas to Arvil and Willie Mae Hall.
She attended Brownfield High school. In 1960, Evelyn married Ross Phillips in Brownfield, Texas, at the Four-Square Parsonage. They moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 1961and had three daughters. She worked for the Lubbock Police Department and the Texas Tech Police Department. She worked for her husband at his business, she enjoyed oil painting, sewing, working in her yard, and she was a homemaker. Most of all she loved Jesus and spending time with her family! She was Nonny to her grand children, great grand children and a great great grand child. She also loved her two Yorkies Maggie and Molly like children. She was still heartbroken over the loss of Ross, her husband of almost 61 years to Alzheimer’s, in 2020. She was an outgoing, fun lady who never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a sister Laura Mae Schryer; daughters Ronda (Mark) Hobgood, Tonda (Mark) Morriss, Lynne Phillips; grandchildren Ashley (Jonathan) Brooks, Laura Petteway (Marco Bagnardi), Lynsey Webb, Krystle (Robert) Elliott, Ross Link, Kaitlain (Mark) Link, Christopher Hobgood, Williem Hobgood; great-grand children April (Chris) Flynn, Morgan Myers, MacKensie Martin, Kolton Martin, Lindon Brooks, Madelyne Brooks, Beckett Brooks, Maddisyn Webb, Marylin Thorne, Mason Thorne, Wyatt Hodges, Abigail Hodges, Jacob Elliot, Benjamin Link, Evelyn Link, and great great grandchild Presley Flynn.
Evelyn was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, a grandson Leit Martin, and siblings Thomas Hall, Robert Hall, Mary Francis Holder, and Hubert Lee Hall.
Evelyn passed away June 27th, 2024, after an extended illness. She was 79 years old.
