Evan Lloyd Steward was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017. He was born to Lloyd and Lisa Steward on September 13, 1998. Evan most recently attended Coronado High School. He was well known for his contagious smile, and sweet and gentle spirit. He was such a blessing to his family, and touched so many lives during his brief time on earth. He truly was dearly loved by all who met him, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Evan is survived by his family who loved him so dearly, father, Lloyd Steward; mother, Lisa Steward; twin sister, Alyssa Steward; grandparents, Ross & Maurine Jones of Seagraves, and Bill Steward of Lubbock; several aunts and uncles, Suzanne Jones, Mark & Dorothy Steward, Larry & Dorothy Steward, Greg and Rhonda Burkleo, and Larry & Shelly Wilfong, all of Lubbock.He is preceded in death by a grandparent, Pat Steward; and an uncle, Ronnie Steward.

Dear Lisa, Lloyd and Alyssa, I knew your family many years ago. It was an honor for me to get to visit your home once a week and watch Evan and Alyssa grow and learn. We had some good times with the horses as well. I only saw you a few times spaced out through the following years, but I always remember Evan with a smile on his face and holding his family near to him. May he rest in peace, and may you find peace knowing that he is now cradled in the arms of God.

When Tim texted me Wednesday, I couldn't believe it. I'm so sorry for your loss. Evan was a sweetie. I enjoyed helping teach him last year. Seeing him smile, nod his head, and how very much he loved his sister were priceless. You're all in my prayers and thoughts.

Lloyd and Lisa: We have been out of town and just learned of this when we returned on Tuesday. So sorry to hear about the loss of your son. There s no greater loss than the loss of a child. Judi and I send our caring and sorrow.

I remember your beautiful boy with a smile on my heart. I had the privilege to work with Evan at Smith Elementary.

Dear Lisa, Lloyd, Alyssa, and family, I remember the time all of you came to Raja's play at the CATS theatre. Evan was so excited and Raja was thrilled that he was able to come and enjoy it. Evan always had a way to make us smile at Wester. Your family is in my prayers and although there are no words powerful enough to ease your pain I pray that you will find consolation in knowing what a blessing it was to have shared his life and knowing that it is just goodbye for now for you will meet again someday. Praying for each of you.

I know I haven't talked to y'all in forever but I remember always playing with Alyssa all the time. We always made sure to try to include Evan in everything we did. He was such an amazing person to be around. Sorry for your loss sending prayers!
