The family of Ed Moseley will celebrate his life of 89 years at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance to celebrate his life from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Lubbock Country Club in the Ballroom. On February 11, 1933, Ed was born to Edgar and Amy Moseley in Chillicothe, TX. He married Betty Hagood on January 15, 1953, at Post, Texas. After marrying, Ed and Betty moved to Southland where he began farming. He continued to farm in the Slaton, Idalou, and Acuff areas for 30 years. After retiring from farming, Ed moved into the car dealership industry where he owned and operated Ed Moseley Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, Ed Moseley Jeep-Chrysler-Dodge, and the Brownfield Motorplex for the next 20 years. Ed rounded out his professional life working in the banking industry until he retired in 2019.

Survivors include his children, Nedra (Dave) Roberson, Rhonda (Terry) Cartrite, and Rheda Moseley; grandchildren, Ed David Roberson, Crystal (Clay) Rudiger, Norris Lee (Deanna) Roberson, Brian (Emily) McLarty; 6 great-grandchildren; and T.K.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Moseley; father, Edgar Moseley; mother, Amy Moseley; sister, Juanita Lancaster; and sister, Theresa Martin.

The family of Ed Moseley has designated Second Baptist Church’s Ministries of Family Promises or Sick Children’s Clinic for memorial contributions donated in his memory.

My warmest condolences to all of Ed Moseleys’ family. I didn’t know much of Ed, but I knew him when he would come and visit his beautiful wife as we care for her at Wilshire Place, I then met him n later his daughters; Ed was a wonderful man n so were his daughters, such good people; he will be missed, but now rejoice in his great memories until you meet again; rest easy🙏🏽😇🕊. I miss Ed. What a gift he was to everyone he met. He had that way of making you feel like a million bucks. I miss you, Ed.

Ed was a special fellow, while we were both at First Bank we supported each other as we dealth with the Alzheimers journery we were both on! He will be missed by the many folks that knew and loved him. My love to his family but I am rejoicing as he joined Betty and they once again were able to dance, this time all over heaven!

Love and prayers to Ed's family. He was a wonderful, sweet man. I enjoyed getting to know him at my time at the bank. He will be missed.

JQ and I will truly miss ED he was such a sweet, kind man. He always loved coming around at Christmas with his candy.

Shaunna and I send condolences to the Moseley family. Ed was a super positive gentleman and constantly brightened the room with his smile and humor.

Ed and Betty......and the "Girls" were long time family friends of the Tuckers. From being in each other's homes or Ed visiting Harold at work or Arlene in the years after Harold's passing..........All wonderful and cherished memories. He will be greatly missed.

Ed and I graduated from Southland School in 1950 have so many memories of those days also remember Ed & Betty when they were dating what fun we had back then.

What can anyone say about Ed, but what a perfect gentleman he was. I enjoyed going to the GM meetings with Ed and looked forward to learning from him. Heaven will be a much better place with the addition of Ed. May God bless Ed and all of the family!

There are too many wonderful things to say about Ed. Ed Moseley was the most kindest man ever and had a big heart and the kindest smile.I was blessed to have met him years ago and to work for him. I have often thought of him and sometimes reminisced on the good old days.Ed was my friend. I will miss him dearly 😢 rest in peace 🙏🏼

Ed (and Betty were best of Friends with my parents 💗 particularly when we lived in Slaton. ALL 4 loved playing "Canasta " and countless games of "42". Our Families were very close....more like Family than just Friends. Ed was greatly loved and will be sorely missed! I am sure they all 4 are at a Heavenly Card Table having the fun and laughter they once shared!

Thank you for taking good care of my friend. He has become an absolute gem.

I am Ed’s youngest first cousin who lives in Georgia. I have fond memories of going to Ed and Bettie’s house to play with Nedra in the summers when my family would visit. Ed and I were named for our Moseley grandparents. He was named after our grandfather and I was named for our grandmother. You will be missed “Sonman”(Moseley family nickname).
