The family of Doyueline “Dot” Thomas will host a gathering of family and friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, immediately followed by a service to celebrate her life of 87 years at 1:00 PM.  There will be a graveside service at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Doyueline “Dot” Thomas was born September 14, 1935, to Roy and Bessie Harrison in Pattonville, TX. She married Travis “Buddy” Thomas. Dot worked for Plains Cotton Coop. and went on to work at Mr. Burger for many years. She loved to sit and reminisce about when all her kids were little and when Buddy was still with us. She would ask some of the kids, “do you remember when…”   and then we would just talk on and on. Dot loved to talk especially on the phone, she could talk on the phone all day.   She could also cook a meal all day long. She loved to listen to the radio and dance around the house to country music. Dot enjoyed teaching her kids, especially Shelley how to dance. Dot’s children and grandchildren will miss her and all the good times they had.

Dot is survived by her children, Cindie Hampton, Shelley Qualls, Michelle (David Flores) Thomas, James (Margaret) Thomas Sr.; grandchildren, Gary Don Qualls Jr., Jubilee James Salazar, Brandie Massie, Tammie Hampton, Crystal Hampton, Alphonso Massie Jr., Cody Qualls, Tessie Harris, Amie Massie, Ricky Hampton, James Roy Thomas Jr., Benjamin Massie, Buddy Thomas, Abriane Martinez, Amree Trinidad, Adan Trinidad; 28 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Jaqueline Ayers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bessie Harrison; husband, Buddy Thomas; daughter, Kathy Massie; grandchildren, Angel Thomas, Louie Thomas, and Frank James Trinidad III.

Well i always called her my Granny and she was such an amazing person she brought everyone together i remember her pinching our cheeks when we were little and we would go see her and sit on her lap and tell us how precious we were and how beautiful we are she had a very beautiful soul and mind.
