Donna brought joy into every place she entered, loved to have fun, and found the good in all circumstances. She worked for many years at GMAC and made lifelong friends. Later she worked at Texas A & M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Lubbock and considered her coworkers there her extended family. She loved and missed her work family when she could no longer work because of her illness. They continued to love and support her just as a family would.Donna had a true heart of compassion and was an inspiration in how to put others’ needs ahead of your own. She helped her friends and family but was equally loving and concerned about complete strangers who had a need. Donna sponsored a child with Compassion International and did acts of kindness to enrich the lives of those around her. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, always giving without expectation. She also had a heart for animals, especially cats. She took care of animals without owners and had numerous dogs, cats, and a rabbit during her lifetime. Donna took to heart Jesus’ commands to Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself.Survivors include her husband, J.D. Harger; daughters, Morgan Bradbury and husband Matthew, and Amanda Ornelas and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Josef, Bailea, and Gage Ornelas; sister, Toni Meador and husband Larry; and a nephew, Austin Meador. She was preceded in death by parents Jerry and Glenda Gailey.
