Donald Edward Parsons

Don was born on January 18, 1933 to Edward and Jimmie Lee (Gilmore) Parsons in Whitney, TX. Growing up Don lived in Ruidoso, NM before moving to Lubbock, TX. He worked for Baldridge Bakery. On November 27, 1952 he married Mary Kilpatrick in Lubbock. The couple moved to San Bernardino, CA in 1957 and Don worked for Barbara Ann Bakery until its closing. He then went to work for the National Orange Show Fair Grounds. During this time Don took college courses to better his skill for his job there. Following his retirement, he and Frances opened P&H Cues and Darts which started mainly as a hobby and lasted the next twenty years. Closing the business last year, they moved to White Settlement to be closer to family. Don enjoyed darts, billiards and the outdoors, including, hunting, fishing, camping and riding motorcycles and was a Ham Radio operator.He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jimmy Don Parsons, a sister, Glenda Hill, a grandson, Jason Parsons, and a great granddaughter, Madison Parsons.Don is survived by his loving wife, Frances Parsons of White Settlement; two sons, Edward Wayne Parsons of Austin and Terry Lynn (Claudia) Parsons of White Settlement; a daughter in law, Elsa Parsons of Riverside, CA; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, a brother, James Harold Parsons, Sr. of San Bernardino, CA; and his beloved boxers, Maxx and Ginger.
