Don Richard Robb was born May 16, 1940, to P.P. and Madge Williams Robb in Dimmitt, TX. Don was a man of integrity and of hard work. He learned his trade working with his father at Robb Pump Company in Dimmitt Texas. After moving to Idalou in 1972 Don worked with a few other pump companies before starting Robbco Pumps in his garage. His company grew to a large pump manufacturing company where he did business all over the world. To thank those customers Don held an annual fish fry in September where everyone wanted his hushpuppies recipe.
Don loved to be in his boat fishing or pulling someone to ski on Waurika Lake. He at one time was a pretty good skier himself. He enjoyed going to the annual Snake Hunt in Waurika to people watch. The highlight of any weekend at Waurika Oklahoma was to go to Bill’s Fish House to have dinner with his family.
Don was an avid traveler. From Hawaii to Spain and everywhere in-between. Recently he had been into cruising with Bill and Susie- his cousins from Keyes Oklahoma who taught him about the cruising life. It was after disembarking a ship and travelling to the airport that he got to meet Brian Kilmeade of Fox and Friends (FOX NEWS) one of his favorite hosts. He travelled by sea, air and by motorhome. He never arrived at a place that he didn’t meet someone he knew.
Don went to the deer lease in Roaring Springs before he was too sick to do so. Always watching for that deer to pop out. He was able to snag a few and talk about his enjoyment of hunting with Berle and Richard.
He loved to watch Texas Tech Football and was a Dallas Cowboy fan until recently and then he became a Kansas City Chief fan- sorry Mike.
Don would watch FOX NEWS 24/7 365 if Nelda would allow him too. And was so proud that after being released from physical rehabilitation on Nov 7, 2024, he was able to vote curbside for his guy. And then watched as President Trump won the election on FOX NEWS.
Don would rather walk away from an argument and would want us to do the same.
Dons favorite color was blue. If you have a pendant, a scarf, or a shirt the family asks you wear it to honor him.
Don is survived by his wife, Nelda Robb; children, Richard (Linda) Robb, Berle (Lorainne) Robb; bonus children, Whitney (Brandon) Beal, Breanna (David) Flores Jr.; grandchildren, Jason (Debbie) Robb, Brittany Robb, Becky Derosette, Brad Robb, Matthew Robb; and numerous great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra, brother Ted Robb, and parents, P.P. and Madge Robb.
In lieu of flowers, the family has chosen The Alzheimer’s Association for donations in Don’s memory.
