Dillon Watson, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at his home in Lubbock, TX. Anxiety & addiction do not discriminate – everyone you meet is fighting a battle you may know nothing about. Be kind…always. Dillon was called home at 25.Dillon Dakota Watson was born November 22, 1995, to parents Julie Watson and Sam Garcia in Portales, NM. Dillon was inquisitive & bright, funny & smart – as a child, he loved to draw & doodle; explore & play outside; was fascinated with dinosaurs, little green army men, science, and the universe – as an adult, he lived life on his terms, never afraid of pushing the limits and standing for his beliefs. Dillon’s music and body art were a reflection of his life’s passion – he was an apprentice tattoo artist and was pursuing an education as a gunsmith. Dillon was the kindest, loving, and generous person. He was selfless, accepting of others and their flaws without judgment. Dillon would say: “Why invest your time in something and not truly understand it?” He was a legend among friends. Too young to go. Too good to stay.Dillon is survived by parents Julie Watson-Hill & Greg Hill of Lubbock, TX and Sam & Sunnie Garcia of Portales, NM. Siblings include Hunter Garcia, James Hill, and Tracii (Michele) Hill. Grandparents include Delores & Larry Gentry, Joe & Mary Watson, Sam Garcia Sr., Cathy Anthony, Tommie & Arthur Moffett, Lonnie & Vern Hill. Uncles include Shawn Watson, Bryan Watson, Thomas Watson, Nathan Garcia, and nephew Greyson Hill. Dillon was preceded in death by great-grandparents Koie & Sammie McCain, Marjorie Watson, and Nellie Hern. The family of Dillon Watson will celebrate his life of 25 years at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 29, 2021, under the Pergola at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
