David W. Purkiss, son of Lottie Mae and Carlos Purkiss of Searcy, Ark., passed away after a long illness. He was a long time employee of the Texas Tech Chemistry Department. David was a dedicated member of the storm spotting team working in cooperation with the National Weather Service.

An informal Gathering Celebrating his life will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, Tuesday, Dec 15, from 6-8 pm.
