David was born on March 17, 1950, in Littlefield, Texas. He was raised by his grandparents, Maude and Jim Grace in Anton. He lived almost his entire life in Anton leaving only to attend South Plains College and Tarleton State University, and a couple of years in Lubbock.
David married Brenda Gresham on November 29, 1975, at the First Baptist Church in Memphis, Texas. David farmed and in 1976 he established what is known today as Grace Pump and Farm Supply in Anton. He has served on various boards, but most recently was serving on the Anton Cemetery Board and numerous boards at the First Baptist Church, where he was a member, but more importantly, a Christian.
David loved fishing, cooking for large crowds, eating Cajun food, and being around friends near and far, young or old, but mostly with Kianah (Pop’s girl).
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maudi and Jim Grace and his parents, Alice and J.C. Grace, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gresham Grace, of Anton; their children, Raine Young and Casey Grace, and granddaughter, Kianah, all of Lubbock, special cousin, Judy Brantley of Canton, and her two grandchildren, Casey and Carson Travich of Keller, TX., sister-in-law, Cindy Walker and husband, Gary, of Lubbock; two nieces, Mindy Sellnau and husband, Jason, of Houston; and Stephanie Stalnaker and husband, Roy, of Newlin, TX.
