Dale Frank Scott passed away on August 3, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on January 21, 1964, in Vernon, Texas, to Robert Frank Scott and Kara Ann Smith, both of whom preceded him in death.
From a young age, Dale embodied the values of hard work and dedication. Growing up in a family in the automobile recycling industry, he began his lifelong career by pushing a broom around his father’s shop at the age of seven. By thirteen, he was driving his dad’s tow truck, hauling vehicles between Vernon, Wichita Falls, and Dallas.
He spent a significant portion of his life in Fort Worth, working at Green Leaf Auto Recycling for 20 years where he raised his children. Twelve years ago, he and his beloved wife Tracey moved to Lubbock, Texas, where they managed Wrench-a-Part, a self-service auto salvage yard. His faith, family, and employees were the most important things in his life.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Tracey; six children: Ashley Scott of Wichita Falls, Brittany Scott of Lubbock, Taylor Chamberlain and husband Ryan of Spring, Alexandra Davis and husband Drue of Wichita Falls, Robert Scott and wife Bella of Washington D.C., and Kayla Pickett of Lubbock; five grandchildren (with another on the way); one sister, Donna Lee of Saginaw; and two fur babies, Lucy and Bella.
He will be laid to rest at Siloah Cemetery in McDade, Texas. Pallbearers include Robby Scott, Ryan Chamberlain, Drue Davis, Travis Mauermann, Jimmy Bledsoe, Chuck Armstrong, and Derek Friend.”
