Cynthia Armstrong

The family of Cynthia Marie Armstrong will host a gathering of family and friends from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate her life of 70 years is scheduled at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park. Cynthia Marie Armstrong was born October 3, 1952, to David and Mary Lou (Morris) Sherrill in Lubbock, TX. Cindy grew up in Lubbock graduating from Texas Tech University in 1978 majoring in Art. She taught Junior High art for 29 years at LISD. She was an animal lover all her life. Cindy enjoyed traveling and would go with her mother and sisters on Sherrill Girls Trips. Gardening was her gift and the swimming pool her retreat. Cindy married Gary Armstrong on November 29, 1996. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Gary Armstrong; stepson, Bart (Misty) Armstrong; stepdaughters, Christy Owens and Mandy Logan; eight grandchildren; one great – grandchild; and a sister, Winn Sherrill-Sikes.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Lou Sherrill; and a sister, Sandra Sherrill-Hammitt.
