Our Lord called Maria Carmen Robles home on September 18th, 2022; she was surrounded by her loving family. Carmen was born on June 2nd, 1957, in Slaton, Texas, to her late parents, Jesus and Reyes Perez. She married Raymundo “Boo” Robles on October 27th, 1984.
Carmen served as a Eucharistic Minister at her home parish of San Ramon Catholic Church. She retired from Texas Tech University’s Communication Services. She was best known for her kind and altruistic heart. She enjoyed dancing, working alongside her coworkers, laughing with her brothers and sisters, and viewing the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the New York Yankees, and the Dallas Cowboys, but nothing meant more to Carmen than spending time with her husband, sons, and her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21st, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers Funeral Home.
A Mass of Resurrection for Carmen, 65, of Lubbock, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 22nd, 2022, at San Ramon Catholic Church in Woodrow, Texas, with her brother, Fr. Rene Perez, officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
She is survived by her beloved husband, “Boo” and her two sons, Sergio [Stephanie] Robles and Zachary [Brianna Garcia] Robles, and five grandchildren: Adelynn Robles, Grace Mullins, Sophia Robles, Emilia Robles, and Adonis Robles, eleven siblings: Emily [Dan] Garcia, Rosa [Lee] Coy, Gloria Rodriguez Perez, Cecilia Garcia, Cathy [Mike] Nichols, Michael [Angie] Perez, Greg Perez, Frank [Mickie] Perez, Angelica [Stanley] Flores, Fr. Rene Perez, and Amanda Y. Perez, and numerous nephews and nieces as well as great nephews and nieces.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Hospice of Lubbock and all of her caregivers, especially Veronica Buescher and Chloe Law. Their personal care and kindness will never be forgotten.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Reyes Perez.
