Bud Goolsby, a beloved figure in the Lubbock community and a devoted family man, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on May 20, 1943, in Lamesa, Texas, Bud lived a life filled with passion for his work and love for his family. He married June on June 7, 1990, in Lubbock.
Bud delivered milk independently for many years and following his marriage to June they began B&J Dairy Product Distributors. Bud delivered milk for over 50 years to local schools and businesses including Cooper and Frenship. His commitment to his work was rivaled only by his love for family and sports, especially football.
Together, Bud and June built a warm and loving home that was always filled with laughter and the joy of family gatherings. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife June; son, James Goolsby and wife Audra; daughter, Heather Crawford and husband T.J.; daughter, Jenniffer Alvarado; daughter, Jill Ware; and son, Jeff Goolsby and wife Andi; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Goolsby and Betty Fitzgerald.
Bud will be remembered for his big heart and the countless connections he made throughout his life, always putting family first and taking great joy in spending time with them.
