Brenda Rennels of Lubbock, TX passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, leaving a huge void in the lives of those she loved.
She was born in Stephenville, TX on November 16, 1947, to Jean and Warren Langley. The family lived in Wellman, Anton, and then settled in Lubbock when Brenda was young. She met the love of her life, Raymon Rennels, driving around the Hi-D-Ho in Lubbock, and they later married in 1970. They were blessed to welcome a baby girl by adoption in 1976.
Brenda worked as a bookkeeper for Harris & Thrush Manufacturing and then the accounting firm of Pratas, Smith, and Moore in Lubbock. In addition to her lifelong love of reading, Brenda enjoyed square dancing in her younger days, listening to Elvis’ music, and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymon. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Katy Skinner, and her three very adored grandsons – Sean, Kade, and Ryan, all of Lubbock. She was one of the best cheerleaders and supporters anyone could have, and she loved her family fiercely.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock. Per Brenda’s requests, anyone attending should wear colorful clothes, and be prepared to drink coffee, laugh, smile, and share stories & memories.
