Bradley Jennings Hagood, 69, was born June 1, 1954, in Canyon, TX. He departed this life to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Brad is survived by his daughters Ashley Hagood and Morgan Hagood both of Lubbock; his parents Dan & Nancy Hagood of Lubbock and sisters, Janie Campbell and husband Douglas of Matador and Kelly Ann Hagood of Lubbock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was the ‘entertainer’ to his great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Hunter Jennings Hagood in 2007; grandparents Cecil and Kathleen Hagood and John and Bernice Buchanan.
Brad was a Floydada Whirlwind and graduated in 1972.
Over the years, Brad had worked in many areas of agriculture; however, his current job of over a decade was that of a Landman, which seemed to be his calling.
Alcoholics Anonymous played a major part in Brad’s life. He began his journey of sobriety on September 12, 1989; He would have received his 35-year chip this September. Brad had sponsored numerous people, who then sponsored another, making him a grand sponsor many times over. The family has been blessed with his AA friends who told many stories of what a leader and inspiration he was. He always called new members by their name, making them feel welcome to the meetings. Brad also had worked in Prison Ministry for about ten years, extending his legacy further than the walls of AA.
