Beverly A. Russell passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Beverly Ann was born on January 23, 1937 to Claude and Dora Turner Johnson in Dimmitt, Texas. On February 11, 1956, Beverly married the love of her life, Carl M. Russell, Sr. in Dimmitt, Texas. She graduated from Dimmitt High School and attended Texas Tech where she met Carl and married. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church and until her health did not allow her to attend, was active in many church functions and activities. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a past member of the Women’s Club, several bridge clubs, but loved their travel club the most. She and Carl traveled the country in their motor home and had friends from coast to coast. She loved Jesus and would never pass the opportunity to share her devotion to Him. Her love and tenacity will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She was a perfect lady, always caring for her family and friends. We celebrate her life and rejoice in her new eternal life.

Survivors include her husband, Carl M. Russell, Sr.; children, Carl M. Russell, Jr. and wife, Teresa; and Lonnie Joe Russell; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandi, and Chelsea Russell; Chad M. Russell and wife, Tanya; great-grandchildren, Chase, Jaxon, Tate, Beau, and Leighton Russell; Brody, Evan, Avalynn, and Olivia Dometrius; siblings, Jimmie Johnson and wife, Merle; and Melba Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Fredrick and Dora Frances Johnson.

I grew up acress the street from the Russell's and will always remember Mrs. Russell, Mr Russell, Carl Jr and Lonnie. May God continue to bless your family.

Uncle Carl and family. The Lord took a good woman Saturday. We all loved her very much. Sorry I just could not make it, I was in the hospital Saturday when they called.. It is such a comfort though to know she is in a much better place. Love you. Phyllis

We meant Beverly and Carl when we moved across the street from them in 1972. You could not ask for a nicer couple to live near by. Carl, Jr and Lonnie were teenagers and were very fine young men. This was a tribute to their parents. Beverly was as fine a Christian witness to all that meant her. She was a friend to us and we will always remember how she and Carl were such fine people to know. Beverly is now in heaven and we will see her again one day. God bless Carl and the entire family.

Carl, Lonnie & Junior I know how hard it is you will miss her very much. She was my favorite Aunt that I have so many good things to remember about her. She was a great women very much loved by all.
