Obituary

Betty Joplin was born on November 7, 1931, to Dutch and Taudie Schwartz in Lakeview, TX. She graduated from Meadow High School and on December 18, 1949, she married the love of her life, Joe Joplin. Betty spent her life joyfully laboring to serve and show love to friends, family, and everyone she knew – PRICELESS. Her support, encouragement, love and being ever present in her grandchildren’s lives-PRICELESS. She carried forth a great legacy of faith in her Lord to the next generation. She kept the faith!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; son, Mickey; and sister, Wanda Brown.

Betty is survived by three children, Craig Joplin; Dr. Jerry Joplin and wife, Karla all of Lubbock, and Renee Winn and husband, Rod of San Angelo; daughter-in-law, Judy Joplin of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Pal Quisenberry and husband, Charles of Lubbock; and brother, H Joe Schwartz of Ropesville.

We would like to express our gratitude to the caregivers of Wedgewood South and Hospice of Lubbock for their loving care and devotion to Betty.

  4. So sorry to hear about Betty. I spent a lot of time at her and Joe’s house with Craig. Great lady. She always made sure me and Craig went to church on Sunday and would give us the eye from the church choir anytime we were talking. She also took us to many baseball games. She was a great lady. You will be missed
