The family of Bennie Tudor will celebrate her life of 93 years at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Chapel. She passed on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. On November 5, 1928, Bennie Jo was born to Benjamin and Josie (Chandler) Armstrong in Sweetwater, TX. She later moved to Ropesville and attended school in Brownfield. At age thirteen, Bennie moved to Lubbock. She was married to Robert Wood and Weldon Tudor. She retired from Frito Lay where she worked on the assembly line and in their retail store for twenty-four and a half years. Bennie was a member of South Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn Wood, Bruce (Brenda) Wood, Garlon (Debra) Wood, and Peggy Whitehead; grandchildren, Crystal (Jay) Tando, Matthew (Tara) Wood, Lynaa Wood, Pamela (Will) Hester, Chrissy Wood, Barbara (Tim) Cason, Ronald (Lori) Burkes, and Billy Burkes; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Wood, and Weldon Tudor; sons, Tim Wood, Billy Tudor, and Maurice Whitehead; grandson, Robert Tudor, and an infant grandchild.
