Bobbie was born on June 16, 1934 to Joe and Lillian (Lowe) Jones at the family home in Lynn County. She married Scott Ellison on December 13, 1965 in Lubbock. Together they owned and operated Bobbie’s Burger Patch. After a few years of service they changed locations and renamed their restaurant Country Plate Diner. They served together for many years before retiring. As Bobbie approached retirement she began another career as an Avon representative. During this time she won several awards and made even more friends. Bobbie was a strong Christian and it was evident in her daily life. She was a member of Trinity Church and the Prime Timers Sunday school class. She was the pianist for the group, The Final Chapters that played for many years in many nursing homes and other events in town. Outside of those activities Bobbie was an incredible cook, talented artist and musician. She also loved crocheting, writing songs and mostly being with her kids and grandkids. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters. Barbara is survived by her children Larry Williams and wife Anna of Lubbock, Gary Ellison and wife Ollie “Tinker” of Casa Grande, AZ, Brenda Williams and husband Jerry Slater of Lubbock, Brad Ellison and wife Amanda of New Home; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a treasured family friend, Carmen Hinsley, and many dear friends from Silver Village apartments.Memorials are suggested to a favorite charity.
