Obituary

The family of Barbara Diane Beene will celebrate her life of 80 years at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the Trinity Church Chapel. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. We invite you to sign her virtual guestbook and download her memorial keepsake folder.

On November 6, 1941, Barbara Diane was born to Dean and Marie (Greer) Williams in Brownwood, Texas, and she grew up in Lubbock.  Diane married William Cecil Beene on February 8, 1958, in Crosbyton, Texas. Diane was a fantastic homemaker, cook, and baker for her family and friends.  She was an excellent bookkeeper for her husband’s businesses.  Diane was excellent at solving crossword and Wheel of Fortune puzzles.  She also loved to paint and color pictures for her kids and grandkids.  Diane never missed her kid’s activities and was always there for anyone in the family if they needed help or someone to talk to.  She helped raise most of the grandchildren and they all loved her and affectionately called her Maw Maw.  Diane was the glue that held the family together, praying constantly for her family’s protection by speaking Psalms 91.  She was the warmest and most caring person you could ever meet, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her!

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Beene; their children, Kathryn (Jett) Folsom, Jamie (Glen) Cottrill, and Chris (Corye) Beene; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Teresa Williams, and Linda (Stan) Regensberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Fred Williams.

Condolences
