Augustina Sotelo

Augustina was born on February 22, 1941, to Augustin Sotelo and Sarah Flores Zapata in Lubbock, Texas.
Augustina loved to read from a young age. Even before she was taught to read, she was fascinated with books, newspapers, and scripture. As she grew, she loved music and enjoyed to sing. Augustina married at a young age and loved to cook and sew for her four children. Augustina acquired An Associate Degree from South Plains College. She worked nearly twenty years at Covenant Hospital as a unit secretary in Short Stay Surgery. As her family grew, she was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Survivors include her children, Ida Garcia, Ricky Garcia and wife, Shelly; Roberto Garcia and wife, Stacy; Leticia Angelica Garcia; grandchildren, Benjamin Garcia and wife, Megan; Sarah Olguin, Alina Sims and husband, Steven; Stephanie Nicole Guzman and husband, Adrian; Paul Ryan Olguin, Kristin and Isaiah Tijerina, Raydon Morrison, Lea Garcia, Allston Garcia, Sophia Garcia; great-grandchildren, Foster Garcia, Jasmine Guzman, Sam Garcia, Lynnix Guzman; siblings, Consuelo Ramirez, Yolonda Diaz and husband, Juan; Augustina Sotelo, Jr.; Moises Sotelo and wife, Julie; Ernestina Sotelo-Lobato; Poinciano Sotelo; Cristina Gonzalez and husband, Jesus 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustin Sotelo and Sarah Flores Zapata; grandson, Ryan Keith Garcia; siblings, Eloisa Zuniga, Adelina Quiroz, San Juana Sotelo, Billy Sotelo, and Gene Sotelo.
