Arthur Edward was born on December 28, 1931, to Thomas and Melvina "Dolly" (Bean) Cronk in Muskegon, MI. On October 23, 1953, Arthur married the love of his life, Eulene Riley in Snyder, Texas.Survivors include his devoted wife and soulmate, Eulene Cronk; son, Arthur Kim Cronk; daughters, Vanessa Barnett, Pam Copeland and husband, Mark, and Kristy Shirley and husband, Troy; grandchildren, Lacee Bartlett and husband, Tim, Andrew Barnett, Trevor Copeland and wife, Ashley, Julia Copeland, Abigail Copeland, Maggie Shirley, Emmy Shirley, and Zakary Shirley; great-grandchildren Rylee, Ryder, and Brexlee Bartlett, and Cliff Arthur Copeland; brother, Tommy Cronk and wife, Carolyn, and sister, Faye Steward.He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas James and Melvina "Dolly" Cronk, and his son-in-law David Barnett.Art attended Tarleton State and later graduated Texas Technological College in June 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He served as a Captain in the United States Army Signal Corp from December 1959 through December 1968. He was a lifetime member of ASHRAE, a deacon, and a longtime member at Southcrest Baptist Church. Art was also an aviation and golf enthusiast. Upon retirement, he obtained his pilot license and managed a hole-in-one. He was active in all areas of serving the Lord and others, and loved singing with the Jolly Elders at Southcrest. He loved to cook, read, and play games. Known by many as "D-Dad”, we will love and miss you.
