Alice T. Albus passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. Family and friends will gather to recite the Holy Rosary at 7 PM, Monday, May 14, 2018, followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Mass will be celebrated to remember her life of 89 years on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, followed by a committal service at the Saint Philips Cemetery in Pep, Texas.
Alice Theresa was born on October 14, 1928, to Lawrence and Clara Frerich Albus in Pep, Texas. She graduated from Pep High School, trained at Saint Anthony’s hospital in Amarillo to become an RN and earned a bachelor’s degree from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas. Alice was employed as a registered nurse for over 40 years with 30 of those years at Veterans Administration Hospitals as assistant chief and chief nurse at various places. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Louise M. Albus; and Monica Albus Macha and husband, Felix; nephews, Tim Macha and wife, Shelley; Mark Macha and wife, Laura; Jim Ed Macha and wife, Becky; Steven Macha and wife, Karen; nieces, Cindy White and husband, Eddie; Mary Ann Marnell and husband, Doug; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Henry and Clara Elizabeth Albus; and brother, Rhienart V. Albus.
