Alejandro Javier Castañeda passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. We will gather to recite the Holy Rosary Friday, May 8, 2020, at 7:00 pm at Bella Vie Venue under the direction of Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. We will celebrate his life of 22 years at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. In support of the health of our community, seating is limited due to the social distancing requirement set by Governor Abbott at both services. He was the beloved son of Terisa and Mike Zapata and brother to Yzeña and Misael Castañeda. He worked as a Phlebotomist at Levelland Clinic North for three wonderful years. Alejandro was a student at SPC, majoring in Chemistry. He was devoted to his family and loved making everyone laugh and smile.Alejandro’s hobbies included reading and music. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein was his favorite book as a child. He gave so much of himself to everyone, especially his siblings. He loved spending time with his baby brother, Misael, and playing guitar with his sister, Yzeña. His best trait was making people smile and feel special.The time that was spent with him will forever be cherished by all of his family members and friends.

Saw this child grow up. Used to come to the office to visit his aunt, Elsie, who loved him with all of her heart. He was always polite, always smiling, always had a hug to give. My prayers are with his family, friends, and co-workers. May you rest in peace.

We all loved Alejandro so much and I will always miss him coming to the lab. He was such a blessing to my everyday. I’ll miss you, Buddy.

Alejandro always met us with a smile and asking about our families. ALWAYS sincerely kind, generous, and funny! Alejandro (Lalo) will so be missed. Peaceful eternal rest and prayers for comfort to the family and friends.

He was such a special young man. Loved for him to do my bloodwork when I went to the north clinic. I work in the gift shop with the Hospital auxiliary. He always came in with a smile. Always so pleasant & was our pleasure to help him when he came to shop. Alejandro you will be so missed by the ladies at the gift shop. I will miss your sweet smiling face when I have to go to the north clinic. I would always call him my Texas Tech man. He wore a lot of Texas Tech scrubs. Prayers for his family.

I am grateful for the month we spent working together. You reminded me not to be so serious and made me laugh throughout the day every day. I formed bonds with other co-workers because of you. You touched so many lives mine in particular. You made coming to work an adventure. All of the patients loved you as well as all of us who had the pleasure of working with you. I will miss listening to my old music with you at the night end of the days as you kept me company while I finished charting. May you Rest In Peace my sweet friend.
