Akram Soujah, age 58, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Monday, January 30th, 2023 at Covenant Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Lebanon on October 6th, 1964. He grew up with his three brothers and sister. After graduating high school, in 1984 he moved to the USA to attend university, where he graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering (1989) and a master’s in Business from Southern Oklahoma University (2022). Akram was an avid learner always in pursuit of knowledge.
He loved to travel, and while on one of his journeys, he met his future wife Rasha and they were married in 2006, they had 3 wonderful boys together, Hamzah, Daniel and Adam, whom he spent lots of time with.
With a career that spanned two decades with Siemens Medical, starting as an engineer and working his way up to director of the Ultrasound division (Western USA). Ever so grateful for all his colleagues and mentors throughout his career.
He was preceded in death by his father Adel Soujah. He is survived by his loving wife, Rasha; his children, Hamzah, Daniel and Adam of Lubbock, TX; His Mother, and his three brothers and their families, Bassam (Lubbock), Imad and Nasser (Lebanon), His sister Dalal (Lebanon), His many nieces and nephews and his cousins and many dear and loving friends.
Visitation and viewing for Akram will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers at 6025 82nd St. Lubbock, Texas. Saturday, February 4th at 1:00 pm. Followed by a private graveside service at 3:00 pm “family only” where he will be interred at Resthaven Cemetery.
