Akram Soujah, age 58, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Monday, January 30^th, 2023 at Covenant Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Lebanon on October 6^th, 1964. He grew up with his three brothers and sister. After graduating high school, in 1984 he moved to the USA to attend university, where he graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering (1989) and a master’s in Business from Southern Oklahoma University (2022). Akram was an avid learner always in pursuit of knowledge.

He loved to travel, and while on one of his journeys, he met his future wife Rasha and they were married in 2006, they had 3 wonderful boys together, Hamzah, Daniel and Adam, whom he spent lots of time with.

With a career that spanned two decades with Siemens Medical, starting as an engineer and working his way up to director of the Ultrasound division (Western USA). Ever so grateful for all his colleagues and mentors throughout his career.

He was preceded in death by his father Adel Soujah. He is survived by his loving wife, Rasha; his children, Hamzah, Daniel and Adam of Lubbock, TX; His Mother, and his three brothers and their families, Bassam (Lubbock), Imad and Nasser (Lebanon), His sister Dalal (Lebanon), His many nieces and nephews and his cousins and many dear and loving friends.

Visitation and viewing for Akram will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers at 6025 82^nd St. Lubbock, Texas. Saturday, February 4^th at 1:00 pm. Followed by a private graveside service at 3:00 pm “family only” where he will be interred at Resthaven Cemetery.

Heartfelt condolences for you guys. John was amazing and a master with his profession. He took great care of our equipment at Covenant Diagnostic Imaging. I had the immense pleasure of working with John at Siemens for many years. Even though I haven't spoken with John for several years, I always regarded him as a very good friend. John is a beautiful soul, smart, creative, and kind to all people in every respect. We had some great times together. John was never at a loss for words with his witty humor no matter what the situation was. Always an optimist. I have known John since 2003, when I started with with Siemens. I always enjoyed talking with him and seeing him when he came to Cary, NC for training. I am going to miss the laughs and miss the talks about our families. I pray for his family and friends during this difficult time. Peace be with us all.

As a coworker, John was reliable, cheerful, and energetically engaged. He endeared himself to everyone he met, colleague and customer alike. I could always count on him for help, direction, and encouragement. Even though he hasn’t worked in my area for some time, the people here who’ve met him, frequently ask about him and have a “John story”. He was always warm, always friendly and made everyone he met feel important. When we worked together the casual work banter would almost have me in tears from laughter. He was a brilliant engineer and had a natural talent for leadership. I'm confident that I speak for everyone on the Texas/ Oklahoma service team when I say, “we all will miss him”

To the Soujah family: My most sincere condolences for your lost. I worked with John as a Siemens sales representative. He was always friendly, kind, and a very genuine good man. I don't see many of those. The Soujah family has a lot to be proud of. John worked his way from Lebanon to the United States and moved up in Siemens for his hard work and dedication. I am grateful to have met him. God bless.

John was our rep in Lubbock. He was good person kind and funny. Always had a smile and was just a wonderful person. Rasha and the boys -i am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for your precious family.

As an Ultrasound Sales Representative, I worked with John in the Lubbock area. John was always the nicest, most positive person to be around. Because of his outgoing friendly nature, John knew everyone that worked in the hospitals. John would always make you feel good. He had nothing but nice things to say and would say "I love you man" again and again. I am brokenhearted at the news of his passing. John Soujah will be greatly missed. My condolences to his entire family.

I have no memory with him. But as a ultrasound colleague I am praying for him and his family.
