Wayne and Cynthia Ann (Chapman) Jones in Big Spring, TX. She grew up in Snyder, TX and after high school, she attended Texas Tech where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s of Business Administration in accounting and a master’s in Accounting in 2007. She received her CPA certificate in 2009. She began work at Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss (BSGM) as an intern in 2007 and quickly became a manager in the tax department. She became the first female Tax Partner in the firm’s history in 2021. Whitney served as treasurer, vice president, and president (2019) along with being a board member for 10 years of the South Plains Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. She was also a member of the West Texas CPA organization. She loved her job and was a continual example of hard work, loyalty, integrity, and efficiency for her clients and the employees and partners of BSGM.She married Dusty on November 9, 2006, in Las Vegas. Dusty and Whitney were blessed with two amazing children, Millie (11) and Miles (5) who were the love of her life. She loved to spend time with her family and take family trips. Their weeks were marked by nights watching their favorite movies and eating their favorite foods. Whitney would bring a fun touch to things by theming those nights. They were long-time members of Hope Lutheran Church where they came every week and always sat in their favorite row.Survivors include her husband, Dusty Murley; their children, Millie and Miles Murley; parents, Wayne and Cynthia Jones; father-in-law, Ronnie (Maria Sanchez) Murley; mother-in-law, Robbie Calhoun; and brother and sister-in-law, John and Tracy McNeil. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.R. and Patricia Jones; and F.J. and Norma Chapman; and a brother-in-law, Steve McNeil Jr.
