Stacy Lyn Bost, of Lubbock, Texas, was called home to heaven on March 27, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on June 6, 1979, in San Angelo, Texas, Stacy was raised in Lubbock, where she brought joy and love to all who knew her.
Known by many affectionate nicknames, including Stacyrella, Bubbles, Queenie, Princess, The Don, and The Favorite, Stacy had a unique way of touching the hearts of those around her. She was truly one of those rare angels on earth, radiating joy and spreading happiness wherever she went. Whether it was a warm hug or the flash of her crooked smile, Stacy had an uncanny ability to brighten anyone’s day. The life of the party, she was always the first to hit the dance floor, a lover of oldies, and a collector of treasures. From purses to straws, crayons, and ziplock bags—simple things brought her immense joy. And if you ever needed her to do something she wasn’t keen on, all it took was a box of crayons to make it happen.
Above all, Stacy loved people. She thrived in the midst of family and friends, particularly enjoying huge family get-togethers. Nothing made her happier than laughter and hearing the many stories about herself. In fact, Stacy even had her own language, which has been lovingly adopted by many family members and friends over the years.
Her love for God was also evident, as Stacy found joy in worship. Her hands would be raised in praise as she sang along with a heart full of devotion.
After graduating from Coronado High School in 2001, Stacy began attending the Lubbock Adult Day Center, where she was blessed to remain for the next 24 years. There, she formed lifelong friendships and especially looked forward to dance days. It was at LADC where she earned the nickname “Bubbles,” and every day, as she walked out, you could hear the cheerful chorus of “Bye, Bubbles!” from those who adored her.
Stacy is survived by her loving parents, John and Sherry Bost; her brother Brian Bost and his wife Brandie, along with their sons Jacob and Luke; her sister Laura Moore and her husband Scott, along with their children Bella and Grayson; and her sister Ashlee Garza and her husband Bobby, along with their sons Everett and Gaines. She is also treasured by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends and loved ones.
Stacy was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Nola Howard, and John and Edna Bost, as well as her cousin, Justin White.
A service to celebrate Stacy’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lakeridge Methodist Church.
