Hunt was born to David and Walcie (Graves) Hunt in Lubbock, TX. He married Patsy Rucker on July 6, 1962, at Lubbock, Texas. He began working at Lubbock Electric in 1963 where he worked for 25 years before opening Ron’s Refrigeration in 1983. He had many loves in his life, one of which was baseball and fastpitch softball which he played for many years. He and Patsy spent many weekends at the ball field and countless hours watching sports on TV. He loved being a dad but his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Patsy Hunt; their children, Kim Hunt, and Todd Hunt and daughter in Law Ashley Hunt; grandchildren, Amber Hays and Husband Bryan Hays, Ashley Sue, Skyler Clark, and Megan Clegg and Husband Weston Clegg; great-grandchildren, Brianna Sue, Sadie Hays, Keegan Sue, Riley Hays, Lexie Sue, and Landry Clegg; a brother, Mike Hunt, and wife Debbie Hunt; and a sister, Betty Aven along with numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, David, and Walcie Hunt; brothers, David Hunt, Jim Hunt, Johnny Hunt, and Coolidge Hunt; and sisters, Louise Hollins, and Dixie MacKill.
