On August 13, 2020, Paul Isham, a much-loved husband, father and, kind friend, passed away at the age of 58. Paul’s dry sense of humor, unending Dad jokes, puns and, his distinct laugh will be missed by his family and friends. We will celebrate his life of 58 years at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. The family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service and visitation. The service will be live-streamed and be available for thirty days on this page. You are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy by selecting the icon.Paul was born on February 15, 1962, in Albany, Oregon to, Ernest and Lois Isham. He was the beloved younger brother to his four siblings Lloyd, Halcyon (Sissy-Mom, Elaine and, Carl. While growing up in Oregon, Paul fell in love with the Ocean and all things outdoor. He enjoyed hunting, hiking, and biking on the Oregon coast. While attending South Albany High School, Paul was part of the marching band and the swim team.After graduating high school, Paul attended Abilene Christian University, where he was part of the Big Purple Marching Band and the ACU Choir. While at ACU, working in the cafeteria, he met his future wife, Cindy (nee Morgeson). Missing the Ocean and hating being landlocked in West Texas, Paul left ACU to join the Navy. Joining the Navy guaranteed, Paul would see his beloved Ocean again and, most importantly, leave Abilene, Texas.While stationed in Long Beach, CA, Paul and Cindy married on July 5, 1986. During his nine years in the Navy, he served on the USS Gray as a fire control technician and later as a security guard on the Concord Naval Base.After leaving the Navy, Paul and Cindy raised their three boys, Joseph, David, and Andrew, in Slaton. The skills learned in the Navy allowed Paul to work as an electronics technician for over 20 years. Paul and Cindy are the proud grandparents to Gabby, Haylee, Cole, Nathan, and Kirsten. Paul will be remembered as an extremely proud Father, doting grandfather, fun Uncle PJ and being one of the best people anyone could meet.Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Isham; three sons, Joseph Daniel Isham and wife Linnae of Lee’s Summit, MI, Andrew Glenn Isham and wife Karen of Lochbuie, CO, and David Anthony Isham of Slaton; five grandchildren, Gabriella Nichols, Haylee Dogoli, Cole Matthew Isham, Nathan Isham, Kirsten Isham; two sisters, Halcyon Hall, Elaine Fredicks and husband Mark; and a brother, Carl Isham and wife Marianne.He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lloyd Isham.
